Brent Charleton's instructors describe him as inspiring, driven, and proactive, and based on his recent achievements, it is easy to see why. While completing the final year of his Marketing Management diploma, Brent acted as president for Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE-BCIT), leading a passionate group of entrepreneurially-minded BCIT students through real-world projects that continue to make a real difference to real people. Brent is a natural leader, and his engagement with SIFE-BCIT indicates planning, responsibility, and commitment -- the building blocks of all successful leaders. His involvement with the Vancouver Board of Trade Leaders of Tomorrow program provides evidence of these qualities, as do his athletic and academic achievements prior to attending BCIT.

Brent's exceptional drive and focus also enabled him to excel academically, having earned an 86% GPA during the course of his program. Through his work with SIFE, Brent has travelled to national competitions where he has led the student team on to win major awards, including TD Entrepreneurship Regional Champions at the 2010 ACE Western Regional Exposition. Brent and his team also produced innovative community events, including the Spring Living Fair, promoting ethical consumption choices, and the inaugural FUSE gala, a networking event connecting new graduates with potential employers. Furthermore, Brent was personally mentored several entrepreneurs from the down town eastside and helped several Canadian Armed Force reservists to develop their own business plans. Brent's newest challenges will come from his new role as Marketing Coordinator at EnWave Corporation.
