Which is faster, an EV or a super hot gas car? No one will ever know, perhaps.

The EV1 started everything. Even with bad batteries, even with the animosity of GM, even with betrayal by CARB, the EV1 brought new meaning to the driving experience, and new vision to the world.

As Linda says, you can crush metal, but not ideas. The idea of an oil-free car that you can charge from your own solar system will never die, despite GM, Chevron and Toyota dirty tricks.

"Who Killed the Electric car" -- GM and Chevron, with CARB and help from Bush and other oil companies. A dastardly deed, done dirty, against the dreams and future of America.

The EV1 was American designed, American built, and fueled by American electrons.

Destroyed by GM, Cheveron, and the power of oil.

  • Linda is very intense, the more you talk to her, the more you are impressed by her.

  • I really love the way linda Nichols talks about electic cars? She and Doug really inspire me to go and drive electric. And this from someone who worked @ VW, Audi and Seat selling cars!

I found some video's that indicate that Mitsubishi has some trouble with the in-wheel motors. but it's nice to see them skipping all the hybrid cars and put their money in BEV's!

  • That lady is really weird. I kind of like her.

  • hi, pls. can you tell me, how far can you drive with a car when you convert it, to run on electric? I know today, the technology of the batteries are getting bather, and more affordable. Well anyway, cool video, thanks so much...

  • I remember the ads on EV world when Toyota was trying to crush her EV in 2004. Her passion paid off. I liked seeing her in Who Killed the Electric Car as well.

  • He says the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MiEV will have phenominal handling, but I have uncertainties. Those in-wheel motors have significant unsprung weight. But who knows, computer controls may be good enough to accomodate this. It would be great for bad weather conditions where the computer could sense slip in each wheel. It has a 160 mile range and only 112 mph top speed limited by computer. But 200 kW on tap with high starting torque and no gearing needed is nice.

  • I think Linda Nicholes is a great person. She is kind of intellectual like me :)
