generally not, because if you use a metal leader, you can weigh down the nose of the bait, and not giving it the normal action, you can use a 10 lb line with a line-line knot like a nail know

Just because its a Rapala - it will catch fish. Sure, the Rapala lures cost more money, wich to a beginner would say is better than anything else. In general, any popper would work on bass, pike, walleye, even perch and what not. Ive used the skitter Pop for some time, ive used the Frenzy Popper and Rebel-R. It doesnt matter wich one i tie on and cast out, because its the POPPING SOUND and the Surface disturbance that gets fish attention --- Not fancy brands, spicey color or special materials.
