An Explanation Designed to Reduce Confusion:
PRESENTING A CLIP FROM THE GREATEST UNFINISHED FAN FILM OF ALL TIME!!!!!

Some years ago (more than any of us care to admit), four liberated, enterprising fans of the British Sci-fi T.V. series "Blake's 7" decided to do a fan video which would bring together the universes of that show and the well-known American T.V. show "Star Trek: The Next Generation."

So much fun we had doing that little 30-minute masterpiece that we decided to do a sequel. The best-laid schemes......

This is the only sequence ever to be completed-- and even IT'S incomplete! Nevertheless, to help answer some of the questions which may even now be welling up in your mind, dear viewer, here is the story so far.

Having escaped from a Hamlet-esque massacre simply because that's not how they wanted the series to end, the crew of the starship Liberace-- Reggie Bloke, Ken A-frame, Yenta Stanislovsky, Thrila Nightol, Vel Fairrant, and the ship's computer Sven-- decided to seek out a new alternative. On the way, they fell through a vortex in space and wound up in a different time and place.

Here they met the crew of the U.S.S. Pontiac, commanded by Captain Jean-Claude Pickaxe and his crew. Unfortunately, Bloke's mortal enemy Spaced Commander Mavis (both of him) and the lovely but deadly President Severelan had followed them through. As Pickaxe and his crew prepared for battle, Bloke and A-frame decided to explore a jungle planet.

Eh, it was something to do.

However, once they had teleported down, Yenta decided to go for a joyride (she didn't often get to fly the Liberace, even though she was the nominal pilot, dangit!!), leaving Bloke and A-frame stranded.

So ended Part One!

As this scene from Part Two opens, the lads have been on the planet for some time and have built shelters for themselves.

Looking at the date on his morning paper, A-frame goes over to Bloke's place to have a word with him, and thus begins the tale of how they escape from the planet of the Decimas.....

CAST LIST: (with original charater names after the parody names, and giving only the first names of the cast members, in order to protect their anonymity)

BART as Ken A-frame (Kerr Avon) and the voices of Mervyn (Marvin) and Freddie (Eddie)

CYNTHIA as Trilligoon (Trillian) and Yenta Stanislovsky (Jenna Stannis)

PETER as Reggie Bloke (Roj Blake) and Zapod Beetlebrow (Zaphod Beeblebrox)

TOM as Arfur Pint (Arthur Dent), Thrila Nightol (Vila Restal) and the voice of the Newsman

with a special guest appearance (via a clip from his show) by the late, great Kenny Everett

FYI, what we call the Liberace was originally the Liberator, and even though you won't see them here, Severelan was based on Servalan, Vel Fairrant came from Del Tarrant, and Mavis was originally Travis.

Also, and again, even though you won't see them here, Pickaxe was of course based on Jean-Luc Picard, while our Will Riker was called Willy Royko, our Deanna Troi was Diorama Oi, Data was Ditto, Dr. Beverly Crusher was Dr. Bebberly Cruncher, Worf was Worped, Geordie LaForge was Georgie LaPorgie, and Wesley was Wiseley.

The classic Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is property of the BBC (written of course by Douglas Adams). Blake's 7 is property of the BBC and/or Terry Nation.

  • How does one answer that? Thanks for the compliment, but have a heart for the originals, friend! I was Bloke and Zapod, and while doing this, I was just trying to do my best to approximate the great characters that Gareth Thomas and Mark Wing-Davey brought to life so brilliantly. Mr. Wing-Davey IS Zaphod Beeblebrox.

  • The effects and acting are better than the original episodes!
