you model it......

It's a different modifier used to do the same thing. MAX has a lot of modifiers that do the same thing. It's up to personal preference.

Any tutorial mentioning rigging with Biped should not forget to mention the Copy/Paste section, which mirrors over changes you make to one side, thus saving you 50% of the work.

Where can i find the biped motion tab??? After i've placed the biped i can't move it anymore

Wikid tutorial not bad model cheers

@hfdgdfigdfgdf Use a Skin Modifier then add each bone (in the Skin options).
-
can you make a tutorial on how to model a character exactly like yours?
-
no need to repeat left and right (for example the hands)
you can use the copy paste mode
copy the 'pose' of selected bones
and then copy them to the opposite side (its standard by clicking a few buttons)

to tell the truth i haven't actually used the skin modifier and due to past events that left me 3ds maxless i cant look into it for now, but i would assume that their used for different things as there are different modifiers

Looks pretty hard. Could I export the object/model to Garry's Mod?
CightonProductions 3 years ago
its really not hard it just takes a lot of time and patience. as for being able to export it i really don't know, as i've never heard of Garry's mod.

Well, thanks for answering my question. Great video too!

i tried looking up Garry's mod and found there website though from what I've seen so far it looks like id need to do some experimenting of my own to see if you could import 3dsmax files into it, unfortunetly(pardon my spelling) i don't own any of the games its for, nor would i be willing to buy something to find out(sorry but its a fact) it would be up to you to find out through posting elsewhere or experimenting on your own.

as a continuation from above; i couldn't see why you would not be able to import models from 3dsmax if you are able to import models at all, though from the looks on there website i don't think you can.
