I am curious about the range of motion for those. Typically, with another shoulder press movement, you don't want to go much past parallel at the bottom. Could you please explain what is it about these thrusts that makes it desirable to go so far below parallel. Thank you.

@scotacus because of the angle and plane of motion of the press the shearing force on the shoulder is basically none existent. This allows people to use the greater range of motion with no issue, even if they have preexisting shoulder issues in many cases. Hope this helps.
