pinnipeds

I wrote this as a project for my marine science class
the last line pretty much provides my personal opinion.

pinnipeds are animals, fin footed mammals
like an eared or ear-less seal or a walrus
they're addapted to the water, it's mostly where they live
they've got fins just for swimming, they'd never hold a shiv
up to an alleged brother's throat, just for stealing all the fish
they live mostly in harmony, and almost make me wish i was a seal

The pinniped is very diverse, it lives near anywhere
some eat mollusks, some eat squid and some of them have hair
some of them just molt that hair and some of them keep it all
some of them have blubber, and atleast one of em's named paul
and if paul's lungs were to collapse, i guess that'd be okay
thanks to cartilage and muscle tissue, paul's lungs would re-inflate
and paul can see perfectly well above and under water
thanks to a protective membrane, his eyes will never falter

testicles and mammary glands are in slits under the skin
it keeps a streamline shape, insuring paul can swim
and when he does he stays submerged for up to two whole hours
by controlling blood flow to his organs
And if you are a seal, stay away from Canada, Greenland, Norway and Russia
but that's only if I were you
from what I've heard in 2010 over 60000 seals have turned up dead
and that's only on the books
they're like "grab your bats and your hooks we'll kill these seals just for their looks"
and now the population is shook
and it's sad that it took this long for a nieve boy to start singing this song
but we're all gonna die eventually
leaf after leaf we'll all fall off the family tree
