@ImperialGuard9001 Hello and cheer for you knowledge of French history! The various parts composing France of the time belonged to Charlemagne (except Britanny (Armorique)). The country was still called Gaulle, but it was under franque domination. It was about an empire actually that Charlemagne defended against the Saxon ones wich came to plunder it regularly. His grandfather Charles Martel had overcome as that the Moors with Poitier in the Aquitaine wich was frank also and not independant.

Big part of Austrasia wasnt even in what is now France and so you say it was France are you insane? The Frankish Lands were divided into four sub factions Neustria Austrasia Burgundy and Aquitanie there was no France a thing that probaly Charlemagne or Clovis had never even heard about they were Kings of Franks not Kings of France! Something that only came with Philips Augustus if you talk about France with Philips Augustus is something now in time of Charlemagne is a joke...

@ImperialGuard9001 - France had existed (with borders different with those from today) for several centuries already when Clovis1st had become the king about it. Charlemagne went down from there.
- As for Saxon they was pirates. They plundered France what explains the intervention of Charlemagne on their premises. This is historical and know in France. Never again after that they will have the seizure on France! Even the English Kings are of French origin!

@Communaysard They never plunder France that even didnt existed as we knew it now half of Frankish Kingdmon or more than half is in what is now Germany so in that case Charlemagne was more German than french Aix La Chappele or Aachen is in Germany! Saxons didnt plunder France at all they were defeding their way of life and religion nothing more and Franks never fully destroid them Saxons still existed long after Charlemagne dead but they adopt various Frankish strutures such as Christianty

You sound like a wonderful person your own self. Shame on you, find something better to do with your time and remember, when my ancestor Charlemagne lived, that's the way the world was. He often achieved goals of unification in his kingdom without a drop of blood shed, other times much blood was shed. War, Love, and little else was all there was in those times so get an education, please.
I don't condone killing in the name of God either, but history is what it is just the same. Grow up!
