After over 100+ launches of 600+whp, Samurai Speed finally found the limits of the GT-R's transmission! The gearbox snapped like a twig on launch.

* We're actually HAPPY that we finally found its limits. We knew it was only a matter of time and needed to upgrade the tranny to be able to take the car to the next power level (700...800...900HP and beyond.)

  • its not under-engineered. this transmission handled over 100+launches on a prepped track with over 150hp extra being ran thru it. nissan doesn't want this car to be a tuner, that's why the encrypted their ecu. it's easier for a rwd tranny to handle power than an awd one.

  • That's what you get for using the "Mud Escape" utility of the GT-R as a "Launch Control" (read the manual)

  • @monkeylard35 Ahhh do your research dude. The GT-R trans are now 11k. Study up before your next post.

  • Lol that sucks considering nissan will void the warranty over this and its a $22,000 fix haha

  • @TheCenturion1 same for you!! :)

  • too much LC launches... nothing else...

  • Datsun GT-R = Schrott ohne Handelswert

  • they use a tranny built for a lawntractor. BOTH gtrs near here have blown their trannies, and one of them caught fire and burned 3 months ago. like most jappo cars, they are like disposable flashlights from a dollar store.

  • Not a drag car. Never meant to be.

  • @holymolydonutshop123 and what does the HICAS system have anything to do with AWD?

  • @holymolydonutshop123 under normal driving conditions, its 98% back, 2% front, if you want to claim that 9bhp to the front wheels is considered full time awd then go ahead

  • @dhillskier75 send power to the back if needed??? it has a constant awd system like the r34, r33, and r32 HICAS system, dude you dont know anything about cars
