This record, a remake of the old Students song on Chess probably harkens back to Phil's Doo-Wop upbringing. Nevertheless, no one before or since has done this song better. A Classic! 1964

What does Ronnie say after the line "Gotta go now, cry myself to sleep. This lovin' baby......"??? After that I can't figure out what she's saying. I looked up the lyrics online and what it says doesn't sound at all like what she is saying. Someone help me out! I love this song and it's driving me nuts!

@jennifersenn jenny-- think roachy has it for ronnie's version, and i haven't seen the online lyric. i've heard it done live with 'my loving baby - would have seen the last of me' think there's a little vocalist license going on here. have to love that song!!

Another member of "The Wrecking Crew" was Glenn Campbell!

@roachy333 That drummer was Hal Blaine, drummer of "the wrecking crew", The Ronettes band. He was one of the best in the business. Another one of The Ronettes band members was none other than Leon Russell. If you don't know who he was, he was a very famous musician. Sonn Bono and Cher also did background vocal work on some of their songs as well.

@jennifersenn I think that I have an answer to your question. I found another version were the words are very discernable. If this version's words are true to The Ronettes recording, the words go as such, "....will have seen the last of me." I am 100% sure.
