Greensboro: Closer to the Truth

Greensboro: Closer to the Truth, by Adam Zucker, uses the first Truth and Reconciliation Commission ever held in the United States—which tackled the Greensboro Massacre of 1979—as a storyline to explore how people confront the truth of their past and struggle with the possibility of hope and redemption.

Many communities have histories of social and racial injustice that have never been resolved; left alone, these tensions fester and grow. Using the documentary as an icebreaker, Active Voices Closer to the Truth Project will work with grassroots organizations across America to encourage deep and sustainable dialogue that promotes community healing.

@stephenabm In my experience with Communists in Boston or while in Europe - violence always is part of their protests or other actions. The Greensboro situation was a planned Communist event and the jury could see through their presentation of peace and love. They called on the KKK with violence and were met with what that they called for, they should of been peaceful and the KKK would of ignored them. This was in 1979 and the Communists are still talking about it.

A jury found them not guilty, they were correct in their finding. They were Communists and had attacked the Klan with deadly weapons. If you attack someone, you have to expect them to defend themselves. This is what came out in the court.
