  • My dad Victor Morales Sr is plays both sax parts on this song. I was there at the recording session and the song and the name of the Sunglows has stuck with me for almost 50 years. I was just begining to play the trumpet and my older brother, Victor Jr. played the sax also. The song stuck in my memory cause they played the song over and over again for 2 plus hours. It was my first recording session with my dad and it made a lasting impression all these years. Thanks for posting. Dad saw it too

  • @mezskr4 Thank-You, very much, mezskr4. Saludos desde Texas!!!

  • I had forgotten this title from so many years ago when at Hawthorne Junior High School in San Antonio in the '60s, yet the melody lingers on and on and on and I love it! Today they meet up again in my mind. A time of my Surfer haircut now meets Padre Island, but that's alright!

  • I remember the Edgewood HS Canteen's, San Antonio Texas... dancing cheek to cheek...memories.......I miss those days...

  • Aww wow!! I love the memories this rola brings back!! My jefita blasting it in our living room, while she was cooking with her apron on. And my jefito coming in and grabbing her and they'd be dancing around the kitchen into the living room!! Both smiling! I hadn't heard it in years!! I have the original 45, that was my moms, in storage. Thank you for bringing the memories back!

  • This was one of The Fabulous Sunglows greatest hits not just in Texas but in the USA! So many of us have forgotten the racial discrimination that existed against "La Raza" during that era. Even so, The Sunglows' rendition of "La Cacahuata" or as it is better known, "Peanuts" overcame that boundry. This is great to hear it once again.

  • This is an awesome tune...brings back memories of my dear Mom and Dad.
