  • Cool. I was across the stadium from you behind first. The Beatles walked to the stage on 2nd from the Giants Dugout right in front of me. The crowd did get startled and think something was going on during the warm up acts when a Loomis Armored Car drove up to and parked close to the stage entrance. It remained there throughout the concert. It was not for their entrance to the stage but for a safe escape if needed. They walked in front of me to the stage. There's footage of this in this DVD!

  • I think Here, There, And Everywhere could have been done on stage.

  • @cometandcupids Yes it could have but would not have been heard over the screams. I feel this song was not totally popular yet like "Yesterday" so the girls would have not quieted down, like they did for "Yesterday" and the song would have been lost in the crowd.

  • so this really was the last official bealtes concert (meaning not counting the abbey road rooftop ) wow i envy my teacher who saw this...

  • @BeBop2012 A person who purchased this is actually seated and partly visable in a segment.

  • I have a guitar shaped keychain that says "Here come the BEATLES" on one side and on the opposite it says "KYA Radio 1260 Welcomes The Beatles at Candlestick Park San Fransisco Monday August 29, 1966-8:00 PM" Does anyone know if this is worth anything?

  • @Rush1013 Be careful as there are reproductions out there.

  • @cometandcupids : And Taxman, And your bird can sing, Ive just seen a face, She said she said, Drive my car, Girl. I want to tell you, Michelle... all from Revolver n Rubber soul but the fact is that they didnt care anymore what they played live in 1966 :(

  • I was there on 8/29/66.Candlestick,home of the SF Giants baseball team, was

only a little more than 1/2 full.I was seated in the lower section in back of 3rd

base. The stage was erected at 2nd base. The Beatles entered the park from

the centerfield area, driven in in a big silver-colored Armored Truck. When the

Beatles entered the girls started screaming. They never stopped,so it was dif-

ficult to hear the music. The Beatles sounded much better on their records. The

    show was only 33 minutes.I was 18

  • @alonenjersey I agreed that most songs from revolver could have been reproduced on stage the problem was they only finished recording revolver a few days before the start of the Gernany 66 tour and they didnt have time to rehearse for the stage.

  • @gamerboy49 everyone has their own opinion but for me your third reason was the main reason it was all too serious by 66 and the death threats and strain was too much....

  • @gamerboy49 I agree. Don't forget, The Beatles were unable to reproduce any of the wonderful music off thier masterpiece: Revolver.
