The History of Scots goes back to the late 1860's when the Karralee homestead was built by John Lee.
In 1942, The Scots College in Bellevue Hill, Sydney, leased Karralee to evacuate its primary students after the Japanese submarines invaded Sydney Harbour. When the Sydney students returned in 1945, a number of local boys had enrolled at Scots.
Throughout the past sixty years, the school has enjoyed a reputation as being a school for the children of the Central West of New South Wales and many other parts of the state. It has also welcomed students from a number of countries around the Asia-Pacific rim. It has maintained a good academic record, strong sporting and co-curricular activities and is particularly known for its award winning Pipes and Drums which were formed in the late 1950's.

I wish there were more schools like that in Scotland itself. It seems we exported some of our best to Australia, Canada and New Zealand.
