Showing and testing the new Fenix TK70 high output flashlight/searchlight with a maximum output of 2200 lumens from 4 D size rechargeable batteries. Beamshots at 50yds,170yds, and 260yds.
A Fenix TK45 is used for comparison.
I am impressed with this "king's scepter" looking flashlight and its performance so far. I am using a Panasonic camcorder but it does not do the nighttime beamshots justice. They are even brighter in person.

  • So what batteries and charger are you using for this light? please let me know asap please.

  • @verhoffj1

I'm using 4 AccuEvolution low self discharge 10,000 mAh D size rechargables, and Tenergy V-9688 Super Universal Battery Charger.

  • @Rumpeltillskin i have TK45 and TK70 too. thats a good battery but not so good charger.

i have tenergy batteries and maha C808M charger.

i read somewhere the tenergy batteries is close to accEvo batteries.

  • It's even brighter than the high beam!!!

  • @LeonFreestyleRaalte did you use quality ni-mh batteries with minimum 9000mah? I hear that is the recommended battery setup.. I don't own this light.. Maybe I buy it if I don't discover something even more interesting.. I didn't like the built in battery and bluish tint on sr90..

  • why the multi emitter?a single LED SST-90 emitter can produce over 2000 lumen

  • @TerminatorFRA Ok. Well but this are the specifications:

Turbo (2200 lumen, 1 h 50 min.), High (930 lumen, 4 h 30 min), Mid (300 lumen, 15 h), Low (20 lumen, 168 h) its clearly incorrect. The Olight is much better bult and it lasts really the time the company says. Pretty poor from Fenix.

  • @LeonFreestyleRaalte Maybe with 8000 mAh rated batteries which were likely 7000-7500 mAh. Even with poor 2300 mAh, it holds 13 minutes on high. So 8000 mAh should give 45 minutes. 10000 mAh about an hour.

  • @TerminatorFRA Nope. Fenix tested the batteries with other types so the specifications are not realistic.

Sorry but 40 minutes runtime on high is realistic!

  • @LeonFreestyleRaalte Maybe there was a bad contact on the minus. Best way to eliminate that is clean those aluminium contacts and assemble the torch tightly. It could bee a bad contact between batteries or on the plus side too. The only thing I can say the current draw is gorgeous and perfect electrical connections are imperative.
