@wcwickedclown I don't know how to disable the gyro other than removing it. The heading hold can be disabled by unplugging it from the receiver. MikeysRC here on youtube has a series of videos on the subject.

out of the box the gyro is disabled.
does your red light say lit on your gyro when you plug it up ?
