A quadriplegic woman is embarking on a record-breaking attempt to sail solo around Britain using just her breath to navigate a 20ft sailing boat.

What a person. Nearly collided with her boat as she came out of the Coquet estuary, Amble, Northumberland, as she was doing this round Britain sail. And we actually have a Briton who can speak proper english. An example.

@Jaz2803 She doesn't need a ventilator at present. Her paralysis is caused by a kind of wasting disease which also causes chronic pain, but so far hasn't stopped her breathing on her own.

She is an inspiration to everyone. She doesn't let anything put her down.  More people should be like her. I love to sail and I understand her passion for this wonderful freedom sailing gives.

Wow. What an inspiration. I also love sailing, and I can relate to the feeling of freedom that she speaks of. For her, that feeling must be multiplied so many times.
