Pokémon Heart Gold: Shedinja vs. Trainer Red

YouTube now has a 15 minute time limit for me, so why not a Shedinja sweep on Red, the final boss of the game?

Because the battle normally takes place in Hail, I needed Groudon's Drought Ability to dry up that Hail. Smeargle and Shedinja needed their full movesets which I'll explain below, which leaves Groudon with Rock Climb, which I needed to reach Red. Groudon also has Stealth Rock so that after Pikachu goes down, Red's other Pokémon will take Stealth Rock damage, especially his Charizard.

Smeargle's moveset:
Spore, Substitute, Spider Web, Baton Pass

Shedinja's moveset:
Double Team (replaced with Shadow Sneak), X-Scissor, Shadow Claw, Dig

Items used on Shedinja:
6x X Attack, 4x X Speed, 1x Dire Hit

Hold items:
Smeargle's Leftovers, Shedinja's Muscle Band

Why Spider Web? If I go to Shedinja without trapping Pikachu first, Red will swap to Snorlax or Charizard immediately, and I do not want Shedinja setting up on either of them. But if I used Spider Web first, Pikachu might wake up from my Spore and take me out with, say a Thunderbolt. Because he holds Light Ball, this is a guaranteed OHKO. This is why I Subbed first, then used Spider Web.

The X Speed are necessary to outpace Charizard with my Shadow Claw. The X Attack and Muscle Band are there to guarantee the KO's I need. Double Team is there to protect the Baton-Passed Substitute from any attack Charizard or Snorlax throws at me. Dire Hit just in case I get any critical hits, which I do after Snorlax.

Shedinja's entire moveset is used here: Double Team (x6) to give the Substitute Evasion boosts, Dig to take out Pikachu, Shadow Claw following Shadow Sneak to take out Charizard, and X-Scissor (with the occasional Shadow Sneak) for the rest.

@chriscrossthejewel I needed it to learn Shadow Sneak during the Red battle. I had Dig, X-Scissor, and Shadow Claw as TM moves, which I needed for coverage against Red's team. I needed Double Team to set up in front of Pikachu, and I had Dig to take out Pika anyway.

@BLAZIKEN90000000 I needed Groudon from Soul Silver because it knew Stealth Rock and Rock Climb. Sadly for Kyogre, it isn't compatible with either of those moves.

@walkTHROUGHwizard100 Let's just suppose it got Baton Passed a Substitute. Especially one from Vaporeon who provides 116hp subs (assuming its hp is the highest possible at 464, of course); the defenses do matter if the attack hits the substitute. Another scenario when its defenses matter is when a Ditto transforms into one. To the real Shedinja they don't matter, but to the Ditto they do because Ditto has 200+ hp at Level 100, compared to the real Shedinja's 1hp.
