Good Question!! Entertainer Grant Goodeve was the main cast member on "Eight Is Enough" during the 1976-1977 and 1977-1978 Television Seasons on ABC during the show's 5 year run. The others were mainly supporting cast members on the show until the start of the 1978-1979 Television Season. I hope that answers your question to some extent. Rest Easy!!

@level242 The freeze frame technique was the staple of 70's tv. Did you ever watch Dukes of Hazzard or the ending of CHIPS?
