  • @praagyah Here's the answer: "A Mhàiri bhàn òg" or "Oran d'a cheile nuadh-poste", from The Gaelic songs of Duncan MacIntyre (1912). And here's another rendition of this song : watch?v=OMHUDLbjIho Enjoy!

  • @santiano42 Aw, it was all laid out neatly before i hit post

  • @Elynnewith2N I wish I was back there again Walking barefoot on the strand My two hands in my pockets And you by my side, Anne my love We were young and joyful Playing with happiness and laughter On the moor, on the loch And amongst the corn in the barn When the late afternoon came Bringing the cattle in from the hill Staying on our way back home Singing songs We were tired when night fell Drinking cold milk beside the warm fire With no desire to sleep And getting up early the next morning.
  • @Rhubarabe I am sorry, but i've never heard this song before. I've tried to search for it, using all the methods i know of, but i could not find anything. If you google "thesession", you'll find a website. There you can ask questions, and may be able to find the information you seek.

  • @praagyah By the way... do you know the name of this song? watch?v=808Hx8mKvts ?

  • @Rhubarabe Yes, you are correct. However, there were no videos of this performance back when i commented, and i did not have access to the Transatlantic Sessions Series 4, which is where the performance you link to, come from.

  • @praagyah Well they did! There's a video on YouTube of both of them singing along with Karen Matheson the song called "Maili Dhonn" (from the Transatlantic Sessions), posted by devonfolk.

  • @Elynnewith2N I hope that you that they time to learn this language and discover the tones that like a melody follow seemlessly word to word.

  • You certainly can have the english translation my friend.

"That's very good indeed ,I like it ,Is he a good singer and what a sweet voice ."

    Thank you James Graham (Greumach)
