  • Great video. NS is OK, but I'll never forget the original Southern Railway (Serves the South. Look Ahead, Look South)

  • "finally funny" a couple days waiting, nice video!

  • That was NS train 337 (Linwood-Charleston via Columbia)

  • This NS line is the only NS line in Charleston. It originates in Columbia, goes through St. Matthews, Orangeburg. At Branchville, it turns southeast through St. George onto Charleston, where it terminates. On the other hand, CSX's A line goes through Charleston with 3 AMTRAK's (Auto, Palmetto, & Silver Meteor), Tropicana Juice trains, freights & piggybacks. It is one of the busiest lines in SC. Just thought I'd share.

  • I live in Charlotte NC, and I must say, I miss the old Southern Railway. I sure do miss seeing all those high hood, long hood forward + mid train helper'ed trains everyday :(

  • I live in Charlotte, I must say, I really do miss the old Southern Railway. I kind of wish SOU and NW never merged. High hoods and Long hood forward 4ever!
