Running the radial engine this time with another ring collector I designed and built by hand. I had a fuel delivery problem and discovered my inline fuel filter was completely blocking fuel flow, even though it was clean and new. So I unplugged it and the engine ran great again. Also, this engine is designed for a max size prop of 22x8 but I only had a 22x10 on hand so I tried it just for fun. The big propellers' flywheel action gives a nice low idle speed of 1350 RPM.

  • I could sit here and listen to the sound of that engine all day, every day for the rest of my life. I love it.

  • @12Deathcon Hee Hee, yep I understand completely! :)

  • watcing this from part 1 to 5 has made me realize that this is the little engine that could !

  • @Ostrid1: Thanks for your comments. :-)

  • Nice job with the video. Man it really can idle down. I have yet to fire mine up and I'm curious as to what kind of ignition your using. Could you tell me anything about the ignition system? Thanks and I hope your keeping warm this winter. Its been to cold for me to go flying, and I can't wait for spring. I'm tired of all the snow already.

  • @wowie5430: Thanks for the comments. The glow driver is from Microsens, of Germany. It is frequently mentioned and highly recommended on various forums, so I bought one. I am 100% satisfied with it. :)

  • @xKmotx Send a picture of it to the Chinese manufacturer.

  • @wowie5430 No, I have not yet picked out an airplane for it.

  • Do you have a plane picked out for your radial engine yet? I ask because I havve this engine and I'm looking for an aiirplanne to use it in. If you get this comment please respond to it if you get a chance. I'll monitor this thread for a few weeks to see if you respond. Thanks,,

  • @jcmegabyte: Yes, that is one of the 'sexy' things about the radial, if you are a lover of engines. :)
