if you don't see the systemic hatred for white men that's all around you, it is b/c you are innured to it. you don't see it because it has been there most of your life and you simply accept it as a fact that white men are evil. even your language gives it away. "historically oppressed groups" I don't suppose you mean the millions of poor white indentured servants, do you?

@Mattprole Actually it's not merely about building self-confidence for disadvantaged people. It's also about 'getting back' at the supposed oppresor group: white heterosexual males. Look into 'critical theory' and see what the origins of the victim and oppressor group ideology is that's taught in the colleges - it comes from Marxists who were frustrated that the working class in America wasn't embracing Communism. So they decided that the culture in America had to be changed.

Do you have any idea how ridiculous and paranoid you sound? Being a white male myself, I don't mind that certain historically oppressed groups receive recognition. It's merely a method to instigate self confidence for people who may feel disadvantaged. It's probably not that effective - but what is the big deal? Why are you so angry about this? Stop being such a territorial asshole and do something with your life.
