(5/12) Today, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca, California Conference of Carpenters Director Danny Curtin, AARP Executive Council Member Marvin Schachter, United Firefighters of Los Angeles City, Local 112 President Pat McOsker, Santa Monica Teacher Harry Keiley and other supporters joined together to ask Californians to vote for the budget reform measures on California's May 19 special election ballot. Propositions 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E and 1F are part of a package of comprehensive budget reforms aimed at getting California through these difficult economic times, preventing more cuts to schools, firefighting, public safety and other vital programs while also putting into place long-term solutions to ensure we never again face the type of budget deficits we faced this year.
