i have an exam next week for algebra even though im a sophmore its given to everyone and if i dont pass ill get a math 3 class so im just starting to panic -_____-
please tell me why it is a negative -7 on the question (1.) 3 (x-7) =6 ?? when you multiply the 3 xX then 3x -7? why is the 7negative when it was just X minus 7?
@PacManCalls Plug the solution into the problem it works. And the problem we are looking at is x+4/2 not (x+4)/2 those are two different things. PEMDAS would say you divide first not add. 3:05

@mshoodbarbie11 I am just learning, but a rule in multiplication was a positive number times a negitive number equals a negitive answer. always.
My daughter wrote this:
negitive times negitive= positive
positive times negitive =negitive
positive times positive= positive
Hope this helps?
