Train passed through Milford Center from New York City enroute to Boston. Due to a very old upcoming bridge, the Acela is far from it's regular speed.

  • Too slow!!!

  • You are right, too slow. As I mentioned previously, the train is going over a very old bridge and must throttle down.

  • Slow as hell

  • it was slowed down as it went through Milford and over the old bridge..

  • Why so slow?

  • Reason for slowed speed through Milford has to do with the old train bridge. Guess it can't take to much on the ole gal.

  • In other words because the tracks are shit.

  • That's not the reason at all. The reason is due to the lines being poorly designed for high speed train travel (as they were designed long before high speed trains existed). In order to take advantage of the Acela's maximum operating speed, the NE Corridor would need to be completely redesigned (straighter) and track laid without level crossings via billions in government funding (that will never happen).

  • Sorry to burst you bubble but its anything but hi-tech. See what china, korea, germany, spain, france and russia are doing.

Common' America you can do better than this!!

  • @prorobo not true, it was but the lines weren't maintained and the railroad companies either died off or went in another direction

  • @prorobo

But you forgot that there is still talk about upgrading it.

  • Old line or not, In the UK the bridge would be replaced quickly and we have 125mph speed limits on Victorian era tracks and yes they have level crossings, share tracks with freight and din't have billions spent on them. Still nice vid. And before anyone says anything we do have 186mph tracks too.

  • Can you say highballing... lol

  • On December 24,2006 at 8 o'clock in the morning, a young 14 year old boy by the name of Scott Jackson was found dead.Doctors couldn't come up with the cause of his death. His mother checked his emails to see if she could figure out what happened.Turns out he was still signed into myspace. She found he had gone to sleep after he read and didn't repost a chain letter.if you don't repost this to 6 videos a girl with no face will kill you tonight
