Bairnsdale, Victoria. Australia - 2010 Christmas Street Parade, 27th of November, 2010.
Presented by the Bairnsdale Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
The parade has grown in significance over the past three years and this year it will be bigger and better than ever.
Starting at 11am, the parade will leave the Bairnsdale Primary School grounds at McCulloch Street and travel up Main Street before turning at Wood Street and heading back to Bairnsdale Primary School on the other side of the street.
BCCI Christmas Parade coordinator Sally Robbins said at least 50 floats would take part in the parade, which included the Bairnsdale Band and Sale Pipe Band.
"There will be a variety of different floats this year; there will be a good variety of things, so we hope to have lots of colour and noise and all that sort of jazz," Sally said.
Underdog will play in the gardens before and after the parade.
Children will find delight in Santa's arrival, and can have their photograph taken with the jolly man in 'Santa's House' after the parade.
The parade will go on rain, hail or shine and features a Roulette flyover.
Santa's House will open until 2.30pm after the parade.
Santa will return on Friday, December 10, from 10am until 1pm and 2.30pm until 4pm after recovering from the parade.
The house will be open at the same times on Saturday, December 11, and Monday, December 13 to 18. He will be back on Monday, December 22 and Tuesday, December 23.
Santa's House will be located in the Main Street gardens from 10.30am until 1pm on Christmas Eve before preparing for his ensuing delivery round. Bairnsdale Lioness Club has this year agreed to provide Santa's Elves.
Ms Robbins said  several schools had painted Christmas boards that will be hung in the Main Street, taking this year's total to eight boards.
"We just want to see everyone there and see the community get behind us."
Ms Robbins and her committee reminded anyone in the parade to be at Bairnsdale Primary School to register their float by 10am.
Voters are reminded that the Bairnsdale Primary School polling booth has moved to the St Mary's Parish Centre.
"We want to make it the best Christmas Street parade in Gippsland!"
