SKEDCO Litter Tie-Down CASEVAC Kit (Armored Vehicle)
Light infantry carries full-size and half-sized SKEDCO rescue mobility devices--not heavy folding stretchers which are connected to vehicle ambulances. When a Light infantry Soldier gets wounded he will be treated by a Combat Life Saver or MOS 68W Combat Aidman (AKA "Medic") to stabilize his condition and be placed inside a SKEDCO plastic tube for immediate evacuation from battle fire effects dangers by dragging.
Afterwards, a helicopter can hoist him in his full-sized SKEDCO to safety.

But what if the battle situation is not safe for a helicopter to come in? What if its not even safe or the terrain will not allow for a wheeled ambulance with stretchers (MEDEVAC) to reach him?
What we need is an immediate casualty evacuation (CASEVAC) capability using ON-SCENE SKEDCO mobility devices and ANY available armored vehicle; be it M113 Gavins, M2/M3 Bradleys etc. The KISS priciple is utilized in the new SKEDCO Armored Vehicle CASEVAC Kit by supplying 4 litter tie-down straps and 2 new floor plates with tie-down "D" rings to make any floor plate armored vehicle capable of CASEVACing two Soldiers in SKEDCOs INSTANTLY--even during the heat of battle--even by just one Soldier, as this demonstration video shows. NOTE: new quick-release buckle SKEDs now available:
