  • @Alu142 Cubase is only a joke to those that cant get it. It does all I need and tons more than I can't even wrap my head around!!! I've barely even scratched the surface of what it can do too. Maybe it just ain't for you... Find what works for you and master it. Peace!

  • @Alu142 The only reason you dont hear of cubase as much as say Protools is the marketing... Protools is jammed down every big producers neck until thats what they think they need to make it in the biz. Thats the reason you see more people using protools. Its just been the go to software since they started. Does it mean its superior? HELL NO! its just got a good following. Enough of this bull shit fighting about which is better. Go make some music fucker! Cubase or protools, just make music!!!

  • @Tschiyeah pls answer me ;/

  • thank you very much for this !

  • @Tschiyeah but it still doesn't work... I am doomed!

  • @winchellproductions :D

at the end on top of the window it says "in slices"

I did click the slice button..

  • @Tschiyeah Didn't say you were one... LMAO Did you hit the "slice and close" button before you tried dragging the audio events over to GA? Its in the audio edit window to the left. After you are done making the hitpoints, hit that button in the left pane to slice them up. Then drag once you are back at the sequencer window drag and drop on the first pad and it should lay them out. CAUTION- may take a few if its a long sample... Be warned! LOL

  • Thank you so much bro! And btw I really like your attitude. Peace!

  • Excellent 'tute' winchellproductions. Less head scratching now. Appreciate vid upload fella !!!

  • @Alu142 Yes, you can put effects on each sample. You setup Groove agent in the vst instruments and you can route each pad to a track so you can apply any effect, eq, whatever to it. Its user friendly for me! And there are a lot of people that use it and make great music with it. the band Mashugga did their entire album on it.Go stick your head in the toilet and flush bitch, your full of SHIT! Fuck off, I got music to make! :)

  • @Alu142 , lol.. you're dumb... cubase is a joke? lol, give me a break.

  • Nice dude! gonna try it tonight!

  • Can somebody help me? I am trying to use Cubase 5 to make samples of whatever... which are not recorded to a click track, and get them to a constant BPM. Somehow it isnt working fo me!

  • @winchellproductions i mean like samples in cubase are like whatt? you cant easily connect effect to each hits, whole cubase vsti system sucks and all looks confusing. in fl i feel like im in control everything that i want and i know EXACTLY what is going on... cubase is good for recording though.. but you cant make a good tune on it, its just too not user-friendly..

  • @Alu142 Yeah, I guess to each his own. I do mostly tracking, mixing and mastering for the most part and every other DAW I used took me forever to get one track complete in about 1/4 of the time in cubase... But it all depends on what you do and how well you know it. I admit, i use FL studio for most drum sequencing. Cubase sux in that realm... I mean beat designer is sorta like FL but the whole process is a pain to set up, when FL just has it all right there and is easy to manage.

  • @winchellproductions give me name of one good producer that uses it. i mean a good one not just a popular one. ok i know hans zimmer uses it but its different then producing popular music...

  • @winchellproductions no mate, it can do same thing every other daw can, for some its better (for eg. its better for recording then fl studio), for most its worse but what it is a joke couse you everything is so stupid. can do EXACT SAME operations in 10 seconds exacly how you want it in ableton, reason, fl, pro tools whatever, this is just SO annoying once you used a NORMAL music program... for eg sequencing drums, like seriously? hah, ok use it if you want but...

  • cubase is a joke

  • btw hitpoints gave same issue when i clicked slice nd close, sample would be returned to old speed and chopped up brutally.. cant make new samples either as when i try to export the wav as new file to import back in it states 'not enough disk space' when i have over 300gig spare wtf! advice would be great.. cubase will be going out my window shortly

  • hi, really useful vid, but having issues.. have a sample 'split' into 8 bars, each chunk has been resized with time warp (3rd pointer controll option) to shrink the samples to play fast and snap to both the fixed and tempo track. When i drag each split loop to the pads the play back with original speed not the new sample..

  • what do u do to make more than one pad play... can't figure that out... i just started using cubase...

  • can someone help me plz... i use cubase 5 but dont kno who to put the chopes in 2 seperate channels lol
