Never was so much owed by so many to so few was a wartime speech made by the British Prime Minister Winston Churchill on 20 August 1940. The name stems from the specific line in the speech, Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few, referring to the ongoing efforts of the Royal Air Force pilots who were at the time fighting the Battle of Britain, the pivotal air battle with the German Luftwaffe with Britain expecting a German invasion. With the battle won a few months later and German plans postponed, the Allied airmen of the battle ultimately became known as "The Few".

One of the Best quotes i've heard for Sir Winston Churchill...i can't remember of whom it was said or the exact words but a lady told him , "Sir if you were my husband i'd give you poison"

And he said " madam, if you were my wife i'd gladly take it...."

@Elberiver11 Also Britain didn't choose to be allied with Russia, they were forced into a relationship with them because they were also fighting against the Germans.

@Elberiver11 You realise Auschwitz is a death camp - no one stayed alive there for more than two weeks, and the way you got in was being old, a child, pregnant or disabled. Vorkuta, however, was a POW and "enemy of the state" camp. According to you "millions were murdered" here. Actually only 53 people were killed during an uprising, and other deaths due to poor treatment and cold temperatures.This is also terrible, but its no where near as bad as the horrific actions that went on in Auschwitz.

You consider Auschwitz a crime, but why not VORKUTA? Churchill fought for Communist Dictator Stalin, who murdered over 39 Million innocents in Allied concentration camps.

So how can you claim you fought a war for "democracy" or "saving the Jews", or whatever nonsense, when in truth you fought for no lesser evil?

Nobody has ever heard the word VORKUTA, have you? In Allied slave-labour camps like VORKUTA millions were murdered, and your country tries to cover it up.

@Elberiver11 You realise Churchill wasn't even Prime Minister until 1940? So he didn't reject peace offers in 1939. Also, Britain declared war because they didn't agree with Hitlers actions, suddenly accepting "peace offers" would be abandoning all the people they were fighting to protect. Do you also realise that Chamberlain appeased Hitler in as many ways as possible to try and keep peace, but each time Hitler broke the peace treaty? Perhaps this is why Britain didn't accept the offers.

Today we know, Churchill lied about Auschwitz, like he lied so many times. Your "hero" was a sick massmurdering warcriminal, who rejected over 20 German peace offers.. Churchill rejected even German peace offers brought to him via the King of Spain (neutral), Sweden (neutral), Finland (neutral) and even the Pope in rome.

Germany was ready to end the war in 1939. But Churchill wanted war - he "loved war and shattering people's lives".

Guess who said so? Churchill himself.

@Elberiver11 If the allies were purposefully lying they wouldn't have changed the estimate, seeing as there's no way of proving the exact number. Around 75% of each group of people admitted were sent straight to the gas chambers to be killed. These people were not recorded, so it was very difficult for the allies to figure out how many had died.

Why did your coutry claim, it was 4 Million, when she knew it was false?

When i dont know a number, but officially spread a number, then it is falsehood and deception.

Another question: Why is the extermination of 18 Million Red Indians by the racist British Empire not a Holocaust, but killing 1 Million is?

I suppose the British run all this "bad germans"-hype on TV, to distract from their own, far worse crimes.

So if your country had no idea, how did you get to this number? When i dont have an idea, i keep my mouth shut. Your country's mouth was very loud, broadcasting these lies and images of "bad germans" 24 hours a day worldwide. He who controls the language (English was forced onto the world with blood and murder), controls what's in people's head.

So the 4 Million was just a "mistake".

@Elberiver11 Britishers isn't a word. Also this is easily explained - the Germans treated the prisoners so badly they kept no record of the dead and burned the remains, using them as fertiliser (if you've been you will know this as the areas are pointed out as you are being shown round). Therefore the allies had no idea how many died, and had to estimate based on how many people went missing.
