Equal pay for women is an issue regarding pay inequality between men and women. It is often introduced into domestic politics in many first world countries as an economic problem that needs governmental intervention via regulation.

There will never be equality, women have it much easier then men. All they have to do is find a man to provide for them and society says it's ok. If a man relies on the woman he's labeled as worthless. Also if a man says something inappropriate there is a massive lawsuit, if a woman does and a man complains he gets mocked by his peers. There will NEVER be equality.

@pccchurch I don't understand why women working leads to a destroyed family with messed up kids. Why can't a man take care of children? Why can't both a man and a woman work and still raise a family?

It's just common sense. If a woman is doing the same work as a man, she should be paid the same.

I like this scene because it's set up as typical Archie/Michael righty/lefty duel but in the end they end up commiserating. Forget the argument about equal pay at a forklifting job. There's no woman who somehow manages to play baseball at a high enough level to become manager of a MLB team. Nor especially will a little girl, much as her yuppie parents truly deeply desire it is eventually going to grow to play noseguard for the Oakland Raiders.

@peaceandrosegirl Let me guess, you are single and don't have any kids and probably still living with your mom and dad. When you have real bills you will understand why both parents need to work.

@thissitesucks74 in areas of the south the minimum wage was until recently as low as $4.50. Forty years later running a forklift you'd still make only minimum wage ($7.25/hr) in my state. 40 years, and a pay increase of not even two dollars an hour.
