SMTPGuard, also known as spam-cat, a SMTP proxy server which understands the difference between inbound and outbound connections, connected to a MySQL database server for hash based content checking, dynamic sender white-list and naturally, a list of common spam words ordered by weight and category. One of the nicest things about SMTPGuard/Spam-cat is: Monitoring traffic realtime on protocol level. The console lets you see incomming and outgoing session. Outgoing session is light (sending) and dark (receiving) green, incomming is light (sending) and dark (receiving) yellow or red in case of spam. This proxy is also able to anounce spam-words found and mail subject header which can be both very neat and irritating at the same time.
That thing's fucking creepy, if I had it, I'd be freaking the fuck out.
