  • Try this on for size bitches!

Chykka in Larvae, it knocks over the small area of land that you have all the way around. You only have about 5 seconds to enter a small field that keeps samus on her feet and protects against the water.

    Adult Chykka

Dark Form: It flies around furiously everywhere! Its going so fast, that (sorta say) dark beam (stuff like that) fall out.

Light Form: It faces directly towards you and keeps on flapping its wings. Huge balls of light fly out from the wings.

    Coolness.

  • Just listening to this makes me cry and gives me nightmares

  • @Sableye343 I friggin love Super Metroid, man. Over 12 playthroughs done on that game so far, most of them 100% runs in under 2 hours. Never gets old.

Prime's good as well, it's ALMOST as good as Super. Never played Fusion, and Other M was okay, it would be better with a storyline that was actually GOOD and less linear areas, but overall in my 2 playthroughs, I'd be lying if I said I didn't have fun.

  • @TheAstuteConman Oh yeah. Super Metroid is beast, Prime is awesome, Other M (NOT TALKING ABOUT SAMUS) was frickin' shweet but Fusion is my favorite of the series. Still love seeing the SA-X taking on those Metroids towards the end.

  • @TheAstuteConman It's because the Grenchlers try SO hard...but then you side step 'em...and shoot them from another room while they try to enter. Could've done without the keys, but if I'm going through the areas anyway might as well have them in there. (Or they could have had you complete missions or some crap in place of get the keys)

  • @TheAstuteConman But it was a GIANT wasp!! Like larger than a normal one. :D

  • @Sableye343 Oh and one of the worst parts of Torvus: Grapple Guardian. DRAWN OUT.

It kinda is just a fact with me that I hate Echoes. Music's good and graphics are spectacular for GameCube... but I hate its length and the crypticness of it, as well as its elements such as key collection. By the time U-Mos told me I have to get those Temple Keys, I just said "screw this" and shut the game off and I haven't played it in 4 months now.

I love Super Metroid and Metroid Prime, but MP2.... bleh

  • @Sableye343 Y'see, at first I thought the exact same thing. Torvus looked really cool and I actually loved this new area. But after around 5 hours and that great remix of Maridia wore out their welcome, I began to hate the place. The dark version of it drove me insane with how often I got lost and when I had to backtrack all the way back to get those seeker missiles, that was where I just said "this sucks."

Loved the Grenchlers, though. Something about those guys is hilarious.

  • @TheAstuteConman I won't dispute your points, I think they're mostly true actually. However, Torvus stands as my favorite environment in any game and I adore pretty much anything that has to do with it. I thought the art direction was phenomenal there and the "wild life" felt like it belonged. I ESPECIALLY LOVE the music, and the scan you mentioned was badass. And Hell yeah that boss was creative!! It was a wasp...but REALLY big!!

  • @Sableye343 It was a terribly easy boss that went on for way too long and by the end, I just hated it. It would not die.

I must admit, I loved the scan at the end of the battle which states basically "IT'S DEAD".

  • @Sableye343 It was. His first form dragged on and on because it gave you so little time to hit it, but because it produced those enemies you can kill for health, there was barely any threat of losing health. It was monotonous.

Then we get into its second form, a giant wasp (real creative). Thing flies around so much it's practically impossible to use the Dark Beam on it, so you just gotta power beam it slowly. Turns into Dark Form and produces MORE enemies that give you health. No threat.
