"Aao Bachho Tumhe Dikhayen" :: JAGRUTI (1954)

To keep up the spirit of India's 63rd [62nd anniversary] Independence Day of 15th Aug, uploaded this evergreen video, of immortal "Rashtriya Kabi", Kabi Pradeep, with music composed by Hemant Kumar..

This number off the movie Jagruti, was written and sang by, "Dada Saheb Phalke" awardee, Late 'Rashtriya Kabi Pradeep', that even more than half a century later, still continues to inspire parents and their children alike, in listening to, playing out and singing the number aloud, even today !

Jagruti ("The Awakening") was released in 1954. The film is about a spoiled rich kid who eventually reforms himself, but is now remembered largely for its patriotic songs, written by Rashtriya Kabi Pradeep and set to music by Hemant Kumar.

It features no well-known stars, and its actors have remained largely unknown. "Jagruti", was remade in Pakistan (1957) as "Bedaari". Even the songs were rewritten by replacing "Hindustan" with "Pakistan".
