@sambass951 I think she meant to say 14 gallons of water per person stored. 14 gallons is a two week storage for one person. I hope this helps.

Sorry about posting like this youtube is not cooperating. We have metal roofing on the house and all out buildings with the rain barrels you spoke of at each down spout cover with fine mesh to keep all the critters out. If you do this you should buy a water filtration system to be able to use this rain water in a time of need. Ours is diverted to a large set of tanks set up for gravity feed.The filter we have is 30$ at Cheaper Than Dirt and is just like a big berkey you will need 2-5 gal buckets

@ReloadingAddict Heard many folks who lost their job and have lived off of the stored food to stretch the unemployment check! It just makes sense.

@Archer46176 True with amount. I have see of late that the classic 8 of 8oz a day has been brought down somewhat like 5-6per day. The Berkey filter would be fantastic way to go to extend the supply. One tip is to get a covered rain barrel and divert a (clean) downspout into it. That could be used for wash-up and flushing if you didn't have a filter.
