Originally thought it was Caruso, as it was labeled Enrico Caruso, and had a similar sound to his.

but it turns out this is by Alessandro Valente. thank you Moorfan.

Beautiful, and similar to Jussi Bjorling's rendition of Nessun Dorma. I love Pavarotti and honestly never thought I'd hear a voice more magnificent than his, but I was wrong. Both Bjorling and Valente make Pavarotti sound like an amatuer....

@Yoni89: Caruso was a singer and not a composer and died in 1921. Puccini was a composer and not a singer and died in 1924, leaving TURANDOT unfinished. It was finished by Alfano and premiered in 1926.

I won't compare Tenors because recording qualities are different. But Mr. Valentes talent is Obvious and this rendition Superb, Awesome and Moving. Thankyou for post.

OMG! Spectacular voice and fabulous interpretation. I had not even heard of this tenor before I found him on YouTube today. (Admittedly I'm not an opera junkie, but do like lots of Tenors. This is just wonderful. Thank you. Also, thanks, Mara Valente, for posting. It's nice to know there's an authoritative person to get in touch with. Do you have more recordings?
