If you dont understand my verbal instructions here are the written ones.

To fix the humming/buzzing, you need to ground your PC.

the only thing you will need is one copper wire,

step #1 strip the 2 ends of the wire, reveling the bare copper.
step #2 partialy unscrew one screw in the back of PC somewhere, ( metal screw that is touching metal )
step#3 wrap one end of the wire around the inside of the screw and screw the screw back into the computer case.
step#4 now take the other end of the wire and attach it somehow to something large and metal that can absorb electricity ( not dangerous )

what i did was attach it into my air conditioning pipe in my floor.

wallah, humming/buzzing is gone.

  • which screw are you talking about

  • @TechnoDictionary any screw that is directly touching the metal of your case. i think its best to get one of the ones holding the power supply in.

  • what if im using a laptop?

  • @identity911 unplug your charger (:

  • what do i do if my mic wont work? i talk into it and nothing happens

  • @nick13213 well that could be many things.

for one, is your mic USB? if so try a different slot, if its not USB

check to see if you have the ends in the right spot in the back of the computer ( one for sound one for mic )

also check your sounds settings in control panel to make sure your mic is not muted.

  • what?

  • what? can u make a video that was less helpful than other videos. so confusing.

  • Mate, that was INCREDIBLY useful, also to illustrate this to my friends. A lot of them have the same problem. When I am recording myself, I get a low but audible humming (can be heard clearly when using a subwoofer). The exact moment I touch the computer's metal frame, the humming goes away completely. Thumbs up, dude!

  • Wow THANK YOU! I identified the problem early on when I discovered that the buzzing noise is the god damn electrical static noise coming from the computer simply running, I just didn't know how to fix it.

  • My Microphone plugged into my laptop is always staticy. Any suggestiongs?

  • i can't seem to understand what you are saying. can you do a video on it? i mean try to shoot it, show us how you did that. Please, that'd be really appreciated. Please. I'm real desperate for that.

  • @darknewt i tried still no use, i did send it back and got my money in return. :(

  • on my laptop i have tried to unplug the charger and it is still there. could it have anything thing to do with the electricty in the room?

  • THAAANKKK YOOOUUUU SO MUCH!! :D

  • @darknewt by case do you mean my motherboard
