A Taste of Honey wasn't a Beatles song. It was written by Bobby Scott (whose orchestra features on this version) and Ric Marlow for the 1960 Broadway version of the play. The version used in the film was recorded by Lenny Welch and won a Grammy. I love Esther's version too though. Probably the best of the lot.

Thank you for the nice post. Love this song. She is hot, reminds me of the women on the moon base in the TV show UFO.

I have never heard this lady before what a beautiful voice
This was always my favourite song of the Beatles. Never before heard this wonderful version of Esther. What an angel!!! What a voice!!! In my entire life never heard another song which touches my soul as intense and deep as this one. Be cautious, it may make you weep from happyness! I'm in love with her.... Will try to get a CD.

I would definately recommend buying Esther Ofarim- In New York, first. Every single song is like this one, AMAZING. Also check out the one coming out June 5th, Esther Ofarim In London, it's also very, very good.
