Celebrating 45 years of the classic Gothic soap opera Dark Shadows. For everyone who ran home from school to catch the mystery, horror, romance and intrigue, 2011 marks a milestone in the show's history.

I remember watching re-runs of DS on the Sci-Fi channel when the Sci-Fi channel was still great. We're talking way, WAY back. I can't even remember how old I was but I know for a fact that I was very, VERY young. Grew up on the Shadows since I was introduced to it by my mother who herself used to rush those blocks from school to park herself in front of the TV.

This is a video I've been working on for a while amidst a few other short projects I've got up and running. A few I've posted recently on my channel along the way.

The entire series as a whole I truly love but I have a soft spot for those early days. The black and white episodes from Victoria's arrival to Barnabas' unchaining, etc.

Here's to 45 more years of fandom!

  • Nice job with the video clip. I remember the storyline involving the mysterious Laura Collins. It was a very well-written story....nice suspense. Diana Millay knew how to portray the sinister Laura while never indulging in annoying melodrama. It made her acting incredibly enjoyable.
