Shame. Like the guy said, that beautiful Lexus LX hasn't even neared half of it's life expectancy. FUCK THAT BULL SHIT! 146,000 MILES???!!!!! My dad's 2004 Chevy Cavalier with the bumper sagging should have been a fucking clunker and it doesn't even look like a 2004! FUCK THAT!

that was my Teenhood Dream car at 1:02 I always wanted that truck but my parient cant afford it, some one please shoot obama for me for destroying that $50,000 SUV.

@quantummechanic90 can't believe that James bonds car went into Cash for clunkers,

As a Toyota enthusiast...I WANT THOSE WHEELS!!!!! Those wheels are pretty hard to come by...:''(

have to agree. it takes much less energy and resources to keep these trucks running than it does to dismantle and recycle and ship their parts elsewhere. I would much rather drive the c25 or lx than a dodge caravan or chrysler 200. just wasteful.
-
in my eyes nothing was wrong with those vehicles

The Big Picture: Part of the C4C program was to placate the global community, and to show them "our committment to reduce our carbon footprint." This is just the First of many things to come. When America's reduced to a third world nation, with everyone walking around barefooted in the dirt, maybe then they'll leave us alone, but I doubt it...

thought i heard to cash for clunkers buys these for a small amount (heard it !)
if i saw a landcruiser (toyota or lexus) there, i would just buy it to save it. You can still sell landcruiser, they want them everywhere in the world.
I would put the 4.2 1HD-t engine (diesel) in this one and it would last forever (if threated with respect !!)

@quantummechanic90 why destroying james bond cars?
What is the best, newest, most valueable vehicle you have seen get scrapped? I have seen a Maserati go for "cash for clunkers"....

@snoozinghipo
Most valuable? An Aston Martin DB7 went into the C4C program. No Joke.

Lexus start marking the LX450 in 1996 and a 1996 model with 150K miles in average condition trades in for $5500. The dealer really raped him on that one.
That SUV brand new cost around 80 grand today and he could have sold it for 7-8K easy.

Idiocy at its best. Some people should'nt be allowed to own cars like this, but instead drive Ladas.
