Not bad - but if I am to be really critical - I remind you all - that this is a very happy (albeit melancholic) poem. The trick is to get the balance between happiness and melancholy right. You lean toward the latter but that's fine.

I second what RockOfDesire says below. You have a gift. Does it come from being Older and Wiser? If so, the years have given you much, despite what pain you may have suffered - or suffer. You have the look of One Who Knows.

thank you very much for your very encouraging words .. i am indeed touched by your observation about the pain i have suffered . but then all of us have our shares of pains and happiness and they have a tendency to balance out in the long run .. and i wish i could say i know .. ( sigh ) there is so much to know .. so much ... so much ! and just one life time... running out fast !
