But... you can hit them after they goon you, thats how I take out Bladers, I make them miss, while I dont due to differences in hitboxes. (Noobpwner)

Being such a small community, a small melee user base you can have a feel for most people's "styles" although the differences are generally minute in people's play style.
Anyways, I mostly use a sword, I'm decent with it I'd say, and if I'm above a spear user, if he doesn't uppercut me out of the sky (When I see someone boosting up, I'm dragooning them immediately) He's about to eat 2-3 hits if he doesn't do a quick back boost and try to fake out.
Most spear users don't even attempt uppercuts

fun match, one queston though...what would you do if ur spearin and u just got dragooned by a sword...u cant hit them when they hit the ground and by the time u can hit them again theyve got another 2/3 hits on you.

i don't do melee personally, but i would think either an 'uppercut', or do a hop/counter-strike for that. either that, or try to re-position before the ground strike, but then you have given up the initiative...
i dunno, one of you melee pros want to answer this?
