I always pay my way but feel people are being ripped off £30 to stand in a Q CML have got a nerve,charge the full price when all lifts are operating and the funicular doesn't break down

Biggups to the Scot crew for doing a grand job.

I'm looking forward to my first trip up there in a couple of weeks.

If the lifts are broken ....bothered. That's what legs and energy bars are for.

I appreciate some of the complaining below may have been joking.....but I really feel we should be lucky to have this on our doorsteps (or in my case just a few hours on train from N.W England...)

i actually pay every time i go, it does my head in when i see people who dont

what does my head in even more is people who push to the front of poma queues, why do lifties not stop these?

@cosmo11111111 , I think you've got to appreciate there's a certain amount of trust involved.

Start checking everyones tickets, the queue's quadruple in length as people have to take gloves off and fumble about in pockets. If you attach your ticket to the outside, there's a risk you lose it and that's you up the creek.

We complain about queues at the best of times.

They basically presume the majority of folks are decent and honest, and everyone has a better day as a result.

It's not just a Scottish problem, too much snow and poor weather can shut any resort.

The last time I went to a French resort, we were turned back because of an avalanche blocking the only road up. It took them 3 days to clear it even with their massive resources. On day 3 they agreed to let a single convoy of traffic up there at 8am and then they shut the road again.

Only been there once, but looking forward to returning later this year. Why only once? Only learned how to ski last year!
