KAIST's latest humanoid robot walks, performs some taichi, shows off its individually-actuated fingers, swings a sword, grabs a bottle, and runs!

  • Please refrain from anti-Korea or anti-Japan comments.

  • Is this all programmed, or is this robot doing this stuff out of free-will?

If it's all programmed, this is all "meh". They need to come up with A.I. to match the hardware!

  • You're completely right about the A.I. but it is the toughest nut to crack when it comes to robotics. The movements are programmed.

  • WOW ! really impressive ! and WOW, PANZER DRAGOON SAGA MUSIC !!!!

  • The music is from Panzer Dragoon Zwei (last boss), but close enough ;)

  • All humans look copies. lol

And Asimo can't move fingers individually as far as I know.

  • Japanese copy ??

  • 劣化アシモだわな

  • now they sell the mini size scale toy in japan

  • Both robots are amazing, Honda does have more experience and tech to develop these robots, but it took Honda over 20 years to develop the asimo. The HUBO which is still pretty impressive took just over 7 years to develop. Korea is JUST getting into the robotic market, they just need to think of the good uses for them.

  • Thumbs down must be all Japanese did it.

    Damn shitty.

  • 원숭이세끼들 다 잡아서 동물원에 가둬버리고 싶다

  • 저도 카이스트 출신인디....

  • Vitals are normal.

    Ok, now play robot rock!

  • @TheReapersSon

That is the question. But one thing this does prove is that there is a viable and strong enough body to survive in the real world ( for when the AI is ready ).

This work is equally important as the AI in creating the worlds first android assistant.
