Sripad Aindra Prabhu Kirtan Standards. part 5

Dear devotees,

His Grace Sripad Aindra Prabhu who is most beloved to all of us has left this world to enter into Krishna's lila leaving behind him a legacy of dedicated and enthusiastic Kirtaniya's to carry on this Kirtan mission. He had painstakingly rekindled this Yuga Dharma Harinam Sankirtan and put it back into its rightful place after the departure of our beloved Acarya His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada.

Recently there has been some discussions on Kirtan standards between Kirtaniya's within our society, which we feel needs to be formally addressed. The main topic which is of paramount concern is whether devotees should charge for performing Kirtan as a means for personal maintenance.

Within these discussions to date, Aindra prabhu's perspective has often been the common denominator, with many devotees quoting and expressing what they think his views to be. Such healthy discussions are encouraged so that we can come to an overall conclusion on distinguishing what is right from wrong.
However according to our siddhanta it is necessary to hear directly from the authority. Thus for the purpose of firmly establishing his standing on this issue, we have compiled a video recording of Aindra prabhu which was filmed this year during Purusottam Mas on the 14th April 2010.

In this video Aindra prabhu is addressing the 24hour kirtan festivals which are being held all over the world and expressing his views on how they could be run. However the main topic of discussion herein is whether it is bona fide to charge for performing kirtan. Seeing how there are 24hour Kirtan's being held in tribute to Aindra prabhu, it would be wise for devotees to understand his standards as it is. Thus these festival's could be more pleasing to Aindra prabhu being held in harmony with his mood.

We would like to kindly request you to please take some time out of your busy lives to hear what Aindra Prabhu has to say. This recording was meant for the public and is now accessible for our ISKCON community. This is meant to educate our community on the principles which Aindra prabhu and our Gaudiya Vaisnava Sampradaya Acaryas imbibed.
