I just bought one. Can't fucking wait.

@bisaillion Haha, yeah i made this account when i was like thirteen. I play mostly alternative music now, my biggest influence is pearl jam so im guessing this amp is loud enough for that type of stuff. Thanks for the info man.

GREAT AMP.

great tone mate! I'm trying to decide between one of these and an AC15C1 - both awesome.

Is this amp loud enough to jam with a drummer?
metalhead930430 3 months ago
@metalhead930430 It is certainly loud enough to jam with a drummer. The AC30 is a tried and true rock amp of the ages. What it isn't is louder or as loud as a 100 watt amp, obviously. I'm just saying that because you're "metalhead". Maybe you plan in a band with a guy who's got a Mesa DR head and cab. If he plays loud, you can't compete.
This amp is amazing and I just recorded my bands' EP with it and an Orange AD30. you can hear more samples at parchmentskies-dot-bandcamp-dot-com

on the original vox website they wrote that c2 is better for overdrive than cc2, but i don't know why.. and i know that c2 has 7 tubes and cc2 has 8. There isn't gz34 c2: 3 x 12AX7 and 4 x EL84 tubes cc2: 4 x EL84 and 3 x 12AX7 and 1 x GZ34

@TolikRyumin more tubes doesn't mean better overdrive. The Marshall 2203 has 7 tubes as well...
I think in introducing a SS transistor to the circuitry it allows you to tweak out some low end flubbing that you otherwise couldn't tweak out of the rectifier tube. Its a great amp. don't worry so much about tube #, worry more about the tone and whether or not you like it
