I love this talk on tithing. I think it is important to remember that we don't give tithing of our abundance to the Lord but rather we give tithing first, prior to using money for our own ends. I also like that Carl B. Pratt's grandfather kept the spirit of the law of tithing by paying tithing on the abundance of the farm. While they had little cash, their garden/farm animals produced very well that summer and they paid tithing on this "harvest" thus keeping the spirit of the law of tithing.
