Many ''laughed and ridiculed her advising her to ''concentrate'' on her raging stardom at the time.. but all such advice fell on deaf ears as her heart was made up.. and her destiny ''sealed''..Parvati would lead the life of a true messenger of peace, oneness and love...and bear every opposition, trial and tribulation that came her way, with grace...She undertook a long journey of special tapasyas (penance) involving a ''sacred oath'' towards mankind's oneness lasting 5 years Much transformation took place and Parvati then began singing at darhas, churches, mandirs, and just about any place she could gather listeners..
Before this undertaking parvati took up her cause with heads of state in India, in the belief that the/any ''head of state'' would be the BEST bet way to help mobilize, actions of kindness among/towards, the nation/ humanity as a whole.. She hoped that her appeal by itself, would help awaken the conscience of individuals in power...but she went on and on meeting one head of state to the other, other leaders in the world , when she had the opportunity to meet with , (at the time) SG UN.. Kofi Annan, Mayor Giuliani, Congressman Frank Pallone and of course THE great opportunity to meet with PRESIDENT CLINTON during his tenure to plead for the same. All Parvati hoped for was for ONE powerful head of state such as the President of America to say, YES, why don't I head this effort, towards humanity or at least offer support towards this effort AND use ,his powers to help bring peace in the world.! BUT all the heads of states and all the leaders and all the BIG personalities she met to plead for their support simply, amounted to LOOOOOT'S OF GREAT COMPLIMENTS! Clinton came very close to actually doing the least he could, which was permitting parvati to sing out her compositions at White House.
