@Kingsevends Generally removing them can have adverse affects. Most drains are from stereo wiring done improperly regarding a dangling power antenna wire etc. I'd check for that first. Be sure to prove fault before assigning large amounts of time on a fix.

Bought a older car with all types of problems .. But my main focus is the A/c wiring, since it didn't have any pumps compressors.. All the wires are just set aside, guessing this is a mayor drain on elct system ..
What do you say would be best way to remove all those wires ?

The ignition switch was my guess as well.....but nope...Overall efficiency of
the current flow and source was the real problem. Just hard to find the corrosive points.
(Which were at the Nuetral Safety Switch, fuses, and battery cables, and the ground.)

please help. i have a 2001 explorer and I'm getting codes that electronic pressure control solenoids are shorted along with a few shift solenoids. i doubt that they are bad because the tranny was rebuilt right before. from what i assume, the wires run from the cpm down the firewall and to the tranny. how do i find a short in wires that are hard to reach?

@djbranboogy03 In a transmission it's often times due to metal shavings/filings that get suspended in the transmission fluid and then into the solenoids etc.

@briansmobile1 ok so a short circuit code P1747 could be caused by shaving? and how can i find short in a wire loom

@djbranboogy03 Metallic dust suspended in ATF that accumulates in sensors that have magnetic internals- yes.
