  • You sumbitch, you tried to sneak this by me.

you sneaky little monkey.....Pure awesomeness, I...NEED...MORE...! (changing)

on a more serious note, might you be debating the EPIC, possibly when that comes about... and what lens are you rockin' on that mofo? HUH, HUH, HUH, whatcha say?

  • TO answer your question from another clips, Yes I shot this as DP. The project is now in post.

I don't know how Epic is gonna be, however I don't appreciate the idea that RED is developing a new camera while they are still trying to fix all kind of glitches in there current line of product. Nevertheless, RED ONE is fantastic for its price, and up until now, as a DP, I can never see myself prefer shooting HD than 35mm film.

I shot this project with a set of Zeiss super speed and a HR zoom.

  • do you own the red one?

  • yes.

  • Sorry, but that is just outdated FUD. Have a look at how many feature films have been shot on R1s in the last year, and not for budgetary reasons.

    It is a serious tool.

  • a quarter? 35mm bodies are around $250K, this camera is $17K

    lol....

  • @randyche0404 hey buddy. tell me what kind of lens did you use? have you done colour correction to this clip? and thirdly, is that mysterium x?

  • whats the media type, memory, what does it record on to?

  • Really fantastic looking. Can't wait for the Scarlet to come out so I can afford the thing -- it may be 3k instead of 4k, but the 1k difference is really irrelevant, especially considering it's 5,000$ vs 17,000$.

  • Hahaha! Don't feel bad, because I'm on the same boat!

BTW, watch the movie District 9. It was filmed using this camera.

  • So looks like I'll be renting it for the rest of my life

  • I have a quick one?!?!?! What are you talking about?

Lets say the beards were a costume choice, I HIGHLY DOUBT the directors motivation was because he wanted the CAMERA to be tough and gritty.

Maybe the CHARACTER of the film inside the frame is supposed to emit that effect... Dont just bash cause of the red man, I hope for ppls sake they don't think digital will be having the same latitude as film does anytime soon... maybe one day

  • good comment.

  • thanks...
